straight pipe more or less power

I was just wondering how a straight pipe would affect my truck.

DO IT...You should have no probs with it. and I would also do the resonator plug and then you can hear that turbo scream.

Yes do it. it helped my mileage out about 1 - 1.5 miles a gallon better just depends. Cut the kitty out, that is what helped the most.

I have already lost the kitty just wanted to lose the muffler too.

i just cut the cat today left the stock muffler and i didnt notice a difference at all waste of 20 bucks

Did you watch for a EGT drop. That is the big benefit of cutting the cat out. Since you left the muffler there would be very little or no sound differnce

You won't notice much until it's a striaght pipe. the muffler does just what it says it "MUFFLES" the sound. So of course you won't hear anything. Cut that baby off, then you'll hear it scream!! And even though you don't notice it, not having the cat does help your truck. It will breathe easier now.

Matt, since you already lost your cat, all you stand to benefit is some more noise. You probably won't get any more mpg's or hp out of it by losing the muffler. Listen to some of the videos on youtube, the LLY's and LBZ's scream with a straight pipe!!

If you would get yourself a 4 inch exhaust...turbo back....you would notice a difference...ESP. in EGT drops. And that's good for your engine.

I just straight piped my MBRP 4" last night, and LOVE it. Sounds real good at idle and on the high way. Did the resonater thing too.
