lbz smoking

My truck has about 34000 miles, back in May had a Bully Dog with outlook monitior installed and at the end of Sept. I noticed that I had some black smoke from the exhaust when taking off. I recently added a Trueflow air intake and now have heavier black smoke when pulling a load or passing other vehicles on the road. There has been one DTC code {PO101} that showed up after installing the Trueflow intake.
I changed the fuel filter but I have not driven truck but a few miles since maybe 6 to 10 miles.

uhhh.

The bully dog adds fuel. At low boost theres not enough air to burn the fuel so you get black smoke.

Your truck is fine.

If you dont want the smoke get rid of the tuner

I wouldn't consider Black smoke good or bad.... It's good if you like to blow clouds everywhere you go...so other people can see. But it is wasted fuel....and to me.....wasting fuel is bad. If you get a PPE, EFI, Banks, etc....you won't blow that much black smoke because they have better tuning.....

PPE smokes like crazy. EFI smokes as much as you want. I have a smoke tune, a power/smoke tune and a power/no smoke tune. Both of the power tunes have the same power one just makes no smoke and the other dumps a big cloud a low boost.
