pcm "updates''

New to forum, & have aquestion that dealer can't (or won't) answer. I have 07 Classic GMC SIERRA DURAMAX & the check engine light came on. Took it to the dealer & they found the EGR motor was bad. I got the truck back & looked on work order only to find they had "updated" the PCM & did a transmission recall that also involved a computer update. The truck has a lot less power now. Dealer says updates should not have done anything to reduce power, althogh they don't know exately what the update was. Anyone else have the same experience?

happens time and again. Take matters into your own hands...EFILive. Log to determine if EGR is sticking open. Then tune it to YOUR specs.
