Reply to thread below "Not very Happy"

I see many people have looked at the thread below "NOt Very Happy" but haven't given me an opinion or thought of what to ask for, etc.. Thanks to the 2 who have.
I am thinking I would like my warranty extended say to 150,000 miles may be a little more. I beleive I should get something from them for having to tear apart my engine to get to the head. Has anyone else heard of the TIP of the Glow Plug falling off in the engine?

GM sent me a upgrade notice warning me it could happen right after i bought the LBZ but with 112,000 miles on the clock its still running..

Yes.that was the whole point of the GM bulletin.The glow plug controller was not programmed/getting too hot and melting the tips/sometimes off!When you brought the truck in and they found no damage,the reflash of the ecm would take care of the problem.Mine was done with 1975 miles.If you want a service history report,then they have to provide you as the buyer with one..It will tell you all what was/wasn't done as far as service goes...

Well here's the thing....after reading your other post and seeing what responses you got....I would say to tell them you want a whole new engine....that's crap the head has to be pulled this soon. BUT....no matter what you do or how much you complain, they will tell you to suck and egg and do the fix they want. It would be nice if they extend your warranty, but since they sent out a bulletin about it, they won't do anything special for you. They will fix it and say "here ya go". It sux.....but that's how it is anymore. I am going through a similar problem with my wifes car....and no matter who you talk to, they just tell you tough crap.....EH

The only thing I would consider would be a new engine.haed removal at 13k,no,no no!The something you are looking for is gonna have to be bluntly put to GM=new engine or ya lawyer up and buy 5 new truck of ya choice!!Legally they cannot get away with this,now it may take them forever[cause they WILL tie it up if you raise hell]..just be firm,tell em as long as that engine sits under the hood,let them keep it!!Or do the LEMON on the sign deal...laugh,but it works..NOTHING hurts like negative publicity!!!!!!!!!

Good point. If you threaten to tell other people and cause a scene....they might replace the engine....depends on how mouthy you want to get....I keep forgetting the truck is new.

with 13k miles....they'd be beggin to give me engine..man,they can spend 12k on the motor,not the poor guy who decided to but it,and was prob lied to...Anyone else feel this way??It wasn't till I asked for the history then they told me 2 steering shafts,g plug reflash,2 seat backs,and 1 other thing..YES I KNOW..they told me all fluids were new,then I log on here [some time later]and find the orig Allison filter[spin-on]had 25,ooo miles on it.

Beleive me,I asked the service manager what their definition of all fluids were serviced!!Gotta watch em..
