I go to the dealer today and talk with the Service Manager. Tell her the problem of 3 glow plugs in 5,000 miles. We run the service history and findout that instead of the 3 I know about there are 3 MORE that were replaced before I bought the truck. So now we have a total of 6. I say we have a big problem and she agrees. I tell them I want all the others replaced and they need to find the problem not just replace the plugs and I also want my warranty extended to 200,000 miles/10 years. Well I have to call chevrolet headquarters and start the complaint and that I want my warranty extended. They try and give me the run around and I tell them the warranty is a must or!!!. I also talk with the service manager later in the day and they are going to replace the glow plug module and the other plugs since they have also reported this problem to the higher ups. I told them I may even want the engine replaced if things get nasty. The service manager says you know since you are the second owner(bought it with 8500 miles) that I probably can't use the lemon law. Does anyone know if that is true?
I also asked the service manager how many 2007 trucks have had 6 glow plugs replaced and she said none. How many of you all have had trouble with your glow plugs/

That is correct, in most states. Don't piss him off.
However, you have linked the problem to the original owner.
This is a known issue. Glow plugs staying on, or something... I believe there is a TSB on it, once fixed, you should be good to go. But it has trashed some motors, when the plug came apart.
Florida's Lemon Law only applies to NEW or demonstrator vehicles sold in the state of Florida. New or demonstrator vehicles that are leased in Florida are also covered, if they are lease-purchased, or if the lease is for one year or more and the lessee is responsible for taking the vehicle in for repair. If the vehicle is transferred from one consumer to another during the first 24 months after delivery to the original consumer, and both consumers use the vehicle for personal, family or household purposes, the consumer to whom the vehicle is transferred may be covered under the Lemon Law.(Florida Attorney General - Home Page search for Lemon Law Florida's Attorney General website) It may be worthwhile contacting an attorney in Florida.
BTW I assume you are in Florida, and that you bought the truck in Florida since it is in your sig.

I would also remember that you get more flies with honey than vinegar, even if there is a problem like this with a truck, having the dealer on your side CAN be a valuable asset later down the road.

You guys are a lot nicer than me....if I paid that much for an 07 and it had that many problems.....I'd be off the wall....esp. if I bought it from a dealer and they didn't tell me why the original owner didn't want it anymore....that's crap.
But with that being said, these guys are completely right....kiss the dealers butt and see if they can help..

I know there was a Tsb out on them so I would check into that first, but i haven't seen any problems peronally with my LBZ or any others I know of.
So what do you guys think causes the glow plugs to stay on to long? Was the last owner just sitting around with his ignition on run with the engine off? That would be all I could think of or was there bad modules released?
