Mine started leaking again, once at 16k now at 35k.. Has GM updated the lines or are they still a piece of crap? Planned on taking it in tomorrow morning to get fixed. Might be headed down to Dallas to pick up a mustang this weekend so id like to know i wont have to worry about it. Oleblacky what'd you do to fix it

Cooler Line Blues

I have had my cooler lines repaced twice in 60,000 the company I work for has 14 07+ s in there fleet 80% have all had the cooler lines replace at least once. I spoke to chev today and asked them if it is a vendor problem or a design problem they said it is not a vendor problem and as of yet do not have a solution. Has anyone heard of any after market solutions ?

oleblackey,

No DIY? I'm fixin' on tackling this soon, but would love to see a detailed DIY since I have limited knowledge replacing cooler lines.

Toypuller,

You too! Wheres the DIY from the tech specialist... I know a bunch of us would really appreciated it!

No DIY that I have seen, I just replaced the tranny line from the trans to the radiator, pretty staright forward. I tried routing from the rear of the truck but had no luck so I went from the front and was able to get it done without any major hassles.

if you take in the stock line, any hydraulic shop should be able to make you a new one that won't leak and will be a lot higher quality than anything the dealership has. And it will be a LOT cheaper than anything else. Mine are leaking too, but thats what I'm planning to do. My stealer wouldn't cover them under warranty, so I'm on my own
