We have fixed older trucks that had broken torsion bars from plowing and I have never seen a stronger set that you could buy.

It really is rare for them to break though. So I wouldnt worry about it to mutch.

Im just good!

I plow for a friend of mine and they break more plow stuff then truck stuff.

I know they went throught a few alternators, batteries and one truck likes to overheat when its plowing. But, its a dodge so that might explain it

Rancho makes a heavier duty bar. I have never seen anyone plowing break one. Typically the reason for the heavier duty bar is due to the weight of the plow on the front end. The new bars will actually raise the front end up an inch or so.

A plowing contractor that shares yard space with me has an 04 GMC duramax with a western wideout and he has had zero problems with the bars.

He also has his torsion bars cranked a bit and runs 285's .

I wouldn't worry about the front end, I would worry about getting caught being overweight on the front axle due to the plow.

going on our 5th year with the 02 no problems yet except for snow getting caked on the running board and causing the 265s to rub and make annoying sounds.

We too have had more issues with the plow than the truck, but the only issue with the plow was the jack stand.

On and a fe sets of winsheild wipers. They never seem to keep up to me.

I guess Ive put wuite a few dents in the truck and popped a few tires too. But those are fatigued operator error on a 50hr straight plowing spree. Re lanscaped some peoples yards with the payloader too.
