LB7, LLY, LBZ, and LMM are just the codes for the different engines.

The trucks are all pretty much the same. LBZ and LMM have 6 speed trans. 01-02 had a littls diff. body.

Lightbulb not that big of a diff, the diffs are slight

yep, they all really do not differ that much,as example, the only diff IIRC in the LLY and the LBZ is the tuning, and a few other things, but that's another thread. If I had to buy a Duramax it would be later than a 04.5 for darn sure. After they took care of those faulty, leaking and case cracking injectors..Not to mention after tons of injectors failed in those years, then the filtration was paid close attention to....

My lbz just turned 61k,never ant trouble 90hp tune, and I never hooked onto something I could not pull!!!

yeah i know the blocks are allmost idenctial the bigest changes were to the heads and injectors and fuel pressue and before the lbz (pre 06) the computers had limted fuel mapping where the lbz is allmost infinte as far as mapping goes (01-03 lb7)(04-05 lly) (06-07.5 lbz) (07.5 and up lmm)
