| A buddy of mine put a 2inch pipe clamp one his 06 under the dash ont the colum and squeezed it very little and took the rattle away..

| A new bearing is an easy swap. Unbolt the steering shaft, slide the old one out of place and pull it, then reinstall the new one. Should just take a few minutes if you're handy at all with tools.

| Do yourself a favor and do the bearing and intermediate steering shaft at the same time. Intermediate Steering Shaft (Part#19153614) And Upper Bearing (Part# 88963617)

| There are a number of posts on this subject already but not in the powertrain section - steering or interior I think. That is where I found the idea for a worm drive hoseclamp on the white (or green?) plastic collar on the column under the dash. It doesn't take much tightening to remove most of the movement. It worked for me at least for now. |

| I also did the pipe clamp and its eliminated 95% of the rattle. Look in the DIY section
