Thumbs up My oil pressure is way to high

My oil pressure guage is at 90psi at idle and at 115psi while driving. This is well above what was normal yesterday. When i shut the truck off the guage goes back to 0 psi. I do not want to take a chance of blowing a seal or ruining the engine so can i get a few suggestions other than taking it to the dealership.
Thanks.
Ps. I changed the oil this morning and nothing changed.

Use the search, alot of LB7's are known for this. Not heard of the newer ones doing it. What yr. is your truck?

I found something on an oil pressure relief valve may be bad.
Has anyone ever had to replace one?
And how hard was it to replace any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Like boostinLB7 said the guage and sending unit could be the problem. BUT thats on LB7's and some LLY's, mine LOST oil psi for a while, had the motor flushed and started running synthetic oil to clean the motor and no more probs. Try an engine flush and an oil change, if that doesnt do it then do your research on a relief valve.

Hard for any motor to give 90 psi at Idle...suspect sending unit/gage malfunction

I am going to try the sending unit first. I may
Even hook up a manual pressure gauge to see what
It says. I just changed the oil 20 miles ago. That was the first thing
I did. Thanks for all your help. I will report back when i find the problem.
Thanks again.
