That video didn't sound like anything I'd get too worried about, you should hear a serious case of timing rattle.
It sounded more like it hadn't warmed up completely yet.....?
Anyway, at that RPM, your timing curve is usually set to advance pretty quickly past 1/4 throttle, as well as the FRP.
Above 2K, especially 2500+ is where most tuners get more aggressive on timing.
Mind you, without the timing, EGT would get hotter and you'd make less power...
If the issue is usually worst during warmup, Rob can adjust the coolant temp based timing compensation to lessen the advance.

Sounds like my truck w/ Edge Evo. I seem to notice it when its somewhat warmed up, I think.
Ive noticed it on lvl 4 and now on lvl 1. Was wondering if it was a normal noise, after all it sounds like a diesel, just doesnt do it all the time. Ive not had the truck for a warm season, or summer fuel yet so I have no comparison there.

It sounded like to me it went to 1 main injection shot vs. having pilot. Many tuners, including myself shut pilot injection off (which is there for noise emissions and makes the engine run much quiter by basically pre heating the chamber *to make things simple*) and when this happens you get a louder combustion event. Normally this is shut off around 2900ish rpms... Not sure as i cant hear it to well, but when the noise gets prominent thats what rpm roughly im hearing it from your video. I have some customers not like the noise (even though i recommend running it that way in the upper rpms) and i turn it back on for them. Not saying this is the case, but send Rob a log and i dont doubt he will be able to identify the issue (if there is a tuning issue) and he help you out!
P.S. The best test in the world to see if it is tuning, or if tuning is aggravating a mechanical issue is to simply put a stock tune in the truck and see if the problem still exist...
I custom tune all kinds of stuff and try to make them go faster, breath better, and play nice.
