UPDATE

Replaced both front wheel sensors. ABS light illuminates. Truck stops fine.
Take the new brake sensor out of the left side and put the old one back in, ABS light extinguishes....but now the slow speed abs activate problem returns.

This is driving me nuts! A new master cylinder, two new wheel sensors and a new abs pump and the problem still exists.

The only code thrown on the borrowed ABS code reader was from where we pulled the fuse and disconnected the left wheel sensor and then the right wheel sensor. Once cleared there have been no other codes. (Of course there will be now because the abs light illuminated) but I have to go back to my buddy who has the code reader to see.

NUTS TO ME! (Thank heaven's it is not MY truck....)

So how did you come to figure it was the wheel bearing if there wasnt any 'slop'? Just changed it out?

Mine just started doing the same thing in 4Low, but not in 4High. 78000 miles. Guess I better looking at front hubs.

#1) I read this forum
#2) We found a buddy with a more advanced code reader.

After replacing the master cylinder, abs pump and both front wheel sensors.... we read the codes while driving (with the better reader) It showed an wheel speed indication prblem on the right front wheel.

We swapped back to the original wheel sensor and got the same code.
Replaced the fron wheel bearing assembly $169 and bang,,,, problem solved.

Otherwise there was no indication that the front right wheel bearing was bad.
It rolled fine, did not stop as you would expect a bad bearing to do. It had not slack or slop in it from side to side.... etc.

I had the same issue with mine, no slop but changed wheel bearings and my ABS issues were gone.
If you want to be precise you need to watch the ABS signal from each wheel to see which one is the culprit.

Yes to having a code reader that reads the signal for each wheel. That was the final determinator after reading this site and all the wheel bearing comments.
