EGR blocker

how do these work, and wont they throw a dtc?

its a plate that prevents the hot exhaust gas from going back into the motor.
By itself yes it would probably throw codes, thats why most come with a "finger stick" thats is a devise that modifys the singnal on the MAF to keep the motor thinking everything is nomal.

I just installed this setup that I got from http://www.kennedydiesel.com/ two days ago.

Any performance difference, or do you just feel better knowing your not reburning exhaust. How much more smoke will it throw out the exhaust?
