school me on trannys. im lookin for one to hold around 500-600hp and 1000ft lbs. im hearing alot about suncoast stage IV's, but i dont know. so who makes a good tranny for 500hp and what do they run generally $ wise? also, is it more cost affective to buy a kit and have mine built or just buy a new one thats already done?

i did the math on that a while ago in another thread and it ends up being cheaper to just build the up your stock trans rather then getting a full trans. cheaper by about $600
