| New to diesel I purchased a 2007 2500HDClasic LBZ engine.
My question is do you change the oil by following the computer intervals? Or is there a formula to follow?Same qustion with regards to the fuel filter?

| Fortuna,
Welcome and congrats on the new ride. I think the first one should happen around 3-4K along with the filter. Then about every 5k after that depending on how much you use your truck.

| Yup, what he said. I believe the Fuel filter is ever 15k, but could be off. For the oil and filter, every 5k with dino, or 15k with synthetic oil.
Congrats on the new truck! Sure are nice, aren't they.

| welcome to the forum..well those are some good ?'s and one that gets lots of opinions so i'll give you mine..i would run the first couple thousand with the oem oil and then switch to fully synthectic oils and change every 5k to 8k depending how heavy you use the truck and on the fuel filter well keep it changed every 8k...
