so my oil change is coming up soon, is it possible that the oil life system is off because i have not seen any info on how to tell if it is off or not.

So what should i use for my next oil change. People here seem to like amsoil of which i have no experience with. should i start synthetic getting close to 40,000. help me out. got no oil consumption i think it is a good candidate.

Thanks
Daniel

I have used it in my vehicles for several years now and have been very happy. Bigdaddydiesel is an AMSOIL dealer on this site in the vendor jungle and should be able to assist with any questions you might have.

Daniel,

I have the same truck. If you go through the driver information center (DIC) menus, your should be able to find how much oil life is left. You should also see remaining fuel filter life.

Enjoy the new truck.

If you have the steering wheel controls carry it back to the dealer and have them reprogram it. Probly had the cluster replaced and didnt reprogram.

OHH Great

Should I worry that this truck actually has more miles on it than shown if the cluster was changed

I have the same readout as you. I haven't been able to tell the %'s. The DIC just warns me to "Change Oil Soon". I haven't seen the fuel filter % either.
After changing all fluids you may want to look into the LLY turbo mouthpiece flaw, located on this forum, good info.

No just the clusters were known for going bad in these trucks and sometimes the tech just forgot to program the steering wheel controls back in.
