Want Bigger Tires On My Dually!??

My 06, 3500 Dually, Crewcab 4X4 came with 215/85-16 tires and I want larger, stronger tires. I'm told I can go to 265/75-16 tires but will need to add a 2" spacer between the real duals.
Has anyone done this?
Will the rear tires stick out past the rear fenders?
NEED ADVICE. Thanks!

if you want a tire that is as tall as a 265 but not as wide go with the 235-85R16(thats what i run on our dually's)but if you want a taller you can run 285-75R16 but like you said you need spacers to run them but the thing i don't like about spacers is it adds extra stress to the studs and lugnuts IMO so i would highly recommend staying with the 235's..before i forget welcome to the forum

255 85 R16 tires are taller and still a fairly narrow tire for dually trucks.

just for reference,
when shopping for tires there are two ways of measuring
here are the two examples:

30"x10.5" R16
first number being height second being tread width, third being rim

the other is
265/75/R16
first number being treadwidth, second being percentage of tread width equating to sidewall height, and third being rim.
