Trouble with remote start on my 06 duramax

Hello everyone,

I have a autopage remote start on my duramax and am having an issue using it when the truck is cold. The truck does not want to make more then 9-10 volts until it starts to warm up then it jumps to 14. Problem is the autopage sees the low voltage and shuts the truck off.
Once the truck has warmed up it works just fine for starting and timed shut off.

I took the truck to the dealer and they told me NPF. Is there a way to fool the autopage?

Thanks - John

Arrow Here's what I have noticed

I don't know how to fool the remote start that you have. I have a viper alarm/remote start on my van and have it set up with a 20 sec delay so the batteries come back up to atleast 11.6 volts before the truck starts to crank. It has not failed me yet. I was told to use a 20 sec. delay because when you first turn the key when it is cold out the intake air heater, glow plugs and fuel pump run and it takes a big chunk of power but after 20 secs the glow plugs are off and the transfer fuel pump has had its volume reduced so it takes less energy from the start batteries. I have sat in my van and had a volt meter hooked up and have watched the volts "on a cold day" start at 12.7 "key in pos 1" goto 11.3 "key in pos 2" then I wait approx 15-20 secs and the voltage starts to rise again to approx 11.6 to 12.0 volts. then I crank her up volts will drop to 10.5 for a sec. "while cranking" then go up to 12.0-12.3 volts for atleast 1 to 2 mins. the colder it is the longer it takes to go back up to 14.0 volts. Do you have a delay on your starter?? I would also have your batteries load tested if you have had them in there for a while.
