New Batteries????

I'm in need of new batteries and was wondering what everyone was using. I looked at the ones from WalMart but in Socal they only sell the south battery which has 550 CCA. The factory ones have 770. Would these work or should I look for the 770 or above. I don't want to break the bank like for Optimas but want a good battery too. Thanks for any input.

I love my Optima red tops. A little pricey though.

You should get at least 770 CCA batteries. If you purchase under rated batteries, you will be stressing them to the max on starts, and they will probably fail sooner. Save here and pay later.

When I bought my 04.5, they had just changed the batteries and put 660 CCA. They have been OK for two years, but I will put better batteries when these fail.

DO NOT buy the batteries from WalMart, i have swaped two sets. they have all leaked acid, 2 sets in 8 months not worth it to me even if they are only 60 each with warranty.
