I may be wrong here, but when I looked at the pix the exhaust manifold are already rusted heavily. Not sure that would happen just from an assembly line test, but someone else who has more experience might chime in here.

PPE is your source for boat specific goodies to convert a Dmax to open water duty. They have water cooler uppipes....pedestals.....the works to get a boat rolling some coal. Holler if you would like me to quote anything for ya

Thanks for all the replies. The engine is really nice. Im going to grab it before another guy gets it. The reserve on ebay was really high,I think they were just curious what they could get for it there. i am trying to get it for a bit under what they wanted so long as some local guy does not get to it before me. We are going to dump it into a custom truck we are working on. Not too worried about the scaling on and around the manifold, so thats not an issue. Thanks again guys. Expect some pics in the next month

a custom truck is always awesome to see..boats are great but the only people that will ever see it are other boaters and they could care less if its a diesel powered one or not! JMO

i would say put it in a truck the boat idea would cost a hell of a lot more IMO
