Recent Performance Testing done by Tri Valley Diesel

The boys over at Tri Valley Diesel did some testing on our intake for the LBZ. I wanted to thank them by posting up their results, plus I thought everyone might enjoy the info as well.

Cheers!

That would be pretty cool to see. I tried the link though and it said you have to be logged in. Can you paste the results?

I spoke with Erik at Tri-Valley today and I guess they were having problems with their website. The link should be working fine now.

Thanks!

I didn't see where it was compared to K&N filter. What was the difference.

I would like to see it compared to a Banks system. Same size and shape filter, both oiled, only difference I can see is S&B has a clear front on their system so you can see the filter. I know Banks is more expensive, but they have the scoop option and a good warranty.

We've proven out that our intake systems dramatically reduce restriction and maintain radically high efficiency levels. We've also posted all of the results of our filters tested against the competitions at the following website.

The Truth About Filters

The testing that Tri-Valley did was not ordered by our company; this was independant dyno testing of an S&B intake. This test was something Erik did to see if our product performed as we claimed. At the time of the test, Erik wasn't selling our product. In fact, he was quite skeptical and decided to test it out before getting behind our brand. I respect that about him and it says a lot about the company.

We here at S&B have never claimed to make the most power, as that isn't our main goal, but Tri-Valley's test shows that our kits produce some pretty great results on the dyno too.

Our goal at S&B is to give you the largest reduction in restriction possible while still protecting your engine with a highly efficient air filter. We never compromise on the filtering ability of our products, so you'll never see one of our filters hit below 99% efficiency. I can't say the same for our competition!

Wow- those low rpm numbers are very impressive!! The folks who did the testing are exactly right- for those of us who use our trucks for daily driving and towing, this is a very nice system. I might have one before the week is over!!
