Check this months 4 wheel & off-road there is an article about GM 3/4 and 1 ton half shafts. Its part of another story that ultimately tells you to ditch the IFS and go SA.

i wish i could give ya more info but i was just reading it in the store i did not get my home copy yet. PM me if you want the name of the real bad A** halfsafts that they use for CORE Pro 4, i know a guy

bc when we took the tires off..we grabed the studs and started turnin the (wheels) and noticed that while they are spining the cv shafts were out of round like they were bent....we first noticed it in the brake rotor and thought maybe its cause the wheels arnt on then we looked at the cv shafts and sure enough they were also doin the same thing..

Check out the half shafts that RVC Performance makes (PRO-4 CV JOINT), you will never have to worry about them again. Screw the solid axle and voiding your warranty, just beef it up so it won't ever break. The week point is the half shaft.

Try this Durasmoke Netfirms Commerce Pro Ultimate Pro-4 CV with Spherical Sealing Technology they show this was just added and is currently a production product. It does cost more but wont ever break.
