i have a 2007 classic and had it at the shop yesterday, checking on the bad fuel mileage. anyway i know the service techs very well and they told me if i have a major problem with the trans or motor or anything else to take the edge computer it self out and not to worry about the egt wire, that it would not matter that i left it. just get the other stuff out before it is brought to the shop. they had to unplug it yesterday and reprogramme the trucks computer while the service manager was watching, and he did not say a word.

Alot of guys are going to be to dumb no (ignorant) to the fact that anything is done because they dont work on them they just oversee. Kind of like the dumb s**ts that engineer the trucks they design them they dont work on them. They dont care how hard things are to get to.

P.S. My neighbor has an 02 dodge bone stock (even exhaust) and has more gauges in that thing than an airplane cockpit. So i dont see why they would get mad at you for taking (precautions) for the saftey of your motor. haha

We take our powerstroke to the dealership with everything it has on it(outlook, triple dog, ts module, 4" magnaflow, AFE intake, methanol injection) and they still do all the warranty work on it, they even replaced the stock turbo and rearend under warranty. I guess it just depends on who you deal with.

Ya... My friend was a GM tech and was workin on his own dmax at the dealership. A GM rep came over with the service wrighter because the service wrighter was telling him all the stuff he had done to it (banks, intake, exhaust). The rep walked over and started to wright down the vin. My buddy asked what he was doing. The guy said makin sure this ever gets a warranty claim
