question about intake 2006 LLY

Hey guys this is my first post here. I have a 2006 LLY i just got last week. I love the truck as this is my first diesel. I have been searching on the forum and see that differences in the 2006 LLY and the LBZ seems to be a different tune and MP. So I plan on getting EFI live put on two saturdays from now, but i have a question regarding the MP/intake. I see where a lot of ppl say just modify the stock intake, but is this for ppl with the LBZ only? I was considering getting a cold air intake with new MP but not sure if i need to spend the money or not.

Any input would be helpful. I have tried searching for this but havent had much luck.

here it is...its bone stock except i have now tinted windows and added exhaust.

I'm 90% sure the 06 Lly has the same mp as an lbz. The 05 Llys had the bad mp.
And intake is all up to owner preference. My truck came with an s&b CIA so I had no choice but I still think I would've done it anyway even though they say its good up to 500hp.

But as far as the difference between 06 lbz and Lly is the tuning. Do a search on here. And I've heard a lot that if there was warranty work done on the 06 Lly that the dealers flashed them and they have lbz tuning. But once again don't quote me on that.

ok thanks...like i said i have tried to find searching and thats what i thought i came up with but maybe your are right....So you think i can go to the dealership and get the dealer to flash it for me?

My dealership wouldn't do the reflash and yes your MP and intake are the same as the lbz.

OK THANKS...well do i even need the reflash if i am going to add EFI live? I dont wanna miss out on that extra HP the LBZ has lol

No if you are going to go to efi live then you'll be good to go.
