ive never dealt with an egr before so i cant help there.. i have heard of guys buying the fuel reil fitting kit so there is no drilling involved, but also i cant get into details on that because i havent done it.. but ppe seems to be a popular brand for the fuel rail fitting

If you are going to cut your up pipe to remove the egr it best to remove it and cut it flush. I would suggest that you buy a LB7 up pipe. And forget welding anything that can leak. I have removed and drilled my rail fitting it is very easy and I made mine larger than 3/32 but I don't remember how large. I also shimmed my relief at the same time with stainless steel washers from the hardware store. I have photos from when I did the fitting an relief valve I will post them later.

Put in a block off plate, so much easier and the same results. Are you getting a CEL for fuel, is that why your going to drill your rail fitting?

Even easier than the block plate is to just unplug your egr valve. That's all I have done and as long as your egr cooler is not leaking it is not a problem. But if you want to do a full delete than go with the LB7 up pipe.

Just buy a Federal LB7 up pipe.

Those fittings aren't gonna solve your problem. What's the code?

^ Agreed it may help alittle but if you are getting codes it's not likely going to help thoughs. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?
