If anyone on here gets mad at me I apologize....but considering everyone on here pretty much says the stock CAI is just as good as an aftermarket CAI. I would def. not hack and cut your stock CAI....because if you mess up or you don't like it...good luck spending the money on a new one. Also...if you are doing the Cool Duals Cat back system....you don't need an EGR blocker plate.

Been thinking of fabricating my own air box, that uses the stock filter instead of doing the CAI mod. Been eyeballing those unused fog light places in my lower valance real closely...ram air anyone?
as for the tranny, well...the shift kit is whats affordable at the moment, I may end up ruining the tranny I don't know...But really from what i could tell, the Suncoast IV is really nothing but the same tranny my truck has, but with the jr kit and torque convertor...I read somewhere that the LBZ tranny already has the updated clutches...???
why would the cool duals not need the egr blocker plate?

if you run into high water you'll hate yourself for doing the lower ram air intakes but other then that its works great.
the stage IV SC will handle 500 and 600rwhp with ease and your stock tranny will die at 400 and 450rwhp if run hard but with the transgo and TC done you can handle 500rwhp but how long i don't know..
if you go with the T/B you'll need the blocker plate to keep the codes from popping i would do a block plate any way but if you go with the PPE or EFILive you can disable the EGR and codes..
SC=Sun Coast
T/B=Turbo Back
TC=Toqrue Converter

Because he said "Cat back"...if he's keeping the cat...then there is no need for EGR blocker plate. And your "Ram Air" Idea is good...but dont' forget to make drains and filters so Water and other debris dont get sucked up.

sorry,didn't see that..
with a cat back you don't need the plate but i would suggest doing it for the sake of keeping soot out of the EGR..

IMO wouldn't going with a CAI be worth it, not mainly for the power but because stock filters are expensive...isn't washing a filter better than paying the money for a new one? at least thats the way I see it lol

in my case, cleaning a filter or a filter that has a very low restriction will be massively detrimental to the health of the engine..I spend a lot of time in dusty environments
