Im a machinist by trade and know a bit about metals. IMO the T409 wont be chrome plated.... Its the fact that theres about 2 times more chromium and about 20 to 30 times more nickel in T304 im pretty sure that the T304 will never rust or corrode. But im not well versed in different exhausts. Magnet will stick to 409 cause of ferrous metals... ferrous means corrosion over time LOL

Thanks for all the help. If I want a deeper sound after removing the CAT would I be better off going with a 5" single pipe.

Also I have read multiple times on the forums that the LBZ will throw codes without a CAT and you need a programmer to stop it from throwing the codes. Any info would help.

Some LBZ trucks will, others wont. It is a hit or miss, the code is a soft code and will not effect performance any. The options would be a fingerstick or Tuner.

I would go with the 5" exhaust they sound great.

Most LBZs dont seem to have an issue, though some do. If your CEL comes on, you will need a fingerstick or the proper programmer to keep them from coming back.
