. . . Superchips seems to be pulling in at last place, but they claim better updates are on the Horizon. . . .
Superchips may claim that, DPP, but I could never get their updating software to run. Kept getting the same scripting error from Microsoft. Ran through everything they could come up with -- tried it on 3 different pc's -- always got same error. They never would admit it was their problem, by told me it would be about 2 weeks before they could get back to me. I was willing to wait a reasonable time period, but they offered to take it back, plus refund shipping.
Well, after 3 weeks of more bugging, I finally got a check, but they deducted shipping both ways. Now their CS Mgr. has denied they every made that promise.
BTW -- Hypertech does updates at their factory. You have to send it back to then for that otherwise free service. Hypertech is about $100 cheaper than Superchips. The Hypertech runs great, I have way more power AND better mileage. (2500HD Silverado Ext Cab, Looong Bed, 4x4.) The Hypertech does the same things and has the same settings as the Flashpaq (Superchips). I saw no advantages of the Flashpaq that were worth $100 and their tech support / customer diservice is terrible.
Is there a box available for a 2008 3500 cargo van? I have a buddy with a Duramax powered 3500 and he cant find anything for it. He is just looking for better mileage.

it wouldn't let me pick multiple programmers, so i chose my current ppe excelerator. Which is by far the best programmer i have owned or had experience with, I have had the power pup and the tripple dog on my LB7, power pup was ok just not enough power for my liking, also had the power pup on my 02 7.3 powerjoke, and it was a great programmer on that truck, but still did't help the fact that the truck was huge and slow...oh well. then when i had the triple dog on my LB7 as stated it through codes shifted teribly, and the ppe standard makes the power of the thripple dog look like a joke. Now with the tripple dog on my dad, uncle and buddies 6.0L powerjokes, it really works nicely, great power delivery, and it controls the ford trans very nicely, also gets those tanks into the high 13's!
Then comes experience with the edge/attitude have had first hand experince on a 2, 6.0L PS, and on both LBZ, and LMMon the 6.0L it was just junk power delivery was jerky, and not even close to smooth, the trans defuel was garbage, and almost made the truck feel slower than stock also if you spun the tires off the line it would almost go into a limp mode for a few seconds and cut all fuel and timing. Now on the LBZ of my 1 uncle's it is a little better in 1-4, and defuel is ok but not nearly as nice as the PPE, but on level 5 once again shifts funny and throws codes. Next Uncle with LMM also says power delivery and shifts are ok level 1-4 just not impressed with overall hp gains, and level 5 starts shifting funny once again...but does like the Regen alert feature of the edge/w.att.
Also my Buddy has an 02 LB7 with the 6-gun, nice programmer, and good concept with the 6 position dial, but would take a while to realearn shift points after changing power levels, also when it limped he did not have the PDA so, he couldn't just clear the codes and be on his way..had to wait it out. He and I both agree that the power, delivery, and shift are better on my PPE standard than his 6-gun.

Every company is saying that their product is not compatible with a cargo van. Is there really a difference between a pickup and a van?
They have different transmissions.

Now that is bad A$$ !!!
I didn't realize you could do that with EFIlive too !!
Is there a place where guys can swap tune files for EFI ?
I was also curious what other trucks the EFI works on? Does it do Dodge trucks too?

My buddy i got predator from has a "HOT" version lol i re programmed his predator to hold the preadator 85hp, predator 120hp, bullydogs 230 and PPE's 250 horse of what ever insane number it is
They should release the allsion 6 speed tuning pretty soon. But im really waiting for the DSP5

EFI is for GM vehicles only as far as I know. As for the guy waiting for a DSP5 switch for a LBZ/LMM.. its not going to happen. The reflash ability on the LBZ/LMM will be thru the V2 handheld. They cant setup a DSP5 switch because there are no extra pins in the OBDII port on these models..
As for Programmers, Ive had a Bully Dog Triple Dog and PPE, and I had a quad tune on it for a few days. The Bullydog is a good "starter" tuner.. but not for someone looking to make smooth consistent power.. the Quad was decent, but I wasnt impressed untill i got the PPE. EFI should be here by Christmas..
