Well, your first step is an Allison Jr shift kit from Trans Go.

Next option is a Converter, but that is an bit more expensive and requires transmission removal. The shift kit can be installed without removing the transmission.

Before looking at converter only, consider a Suncoast Stage III or Stage IV kit. Get it done right the first time and be done with it.

Add some Amsoil and you'll be dialed.

The lift pump should help get some more power out of that thing and help knock the EGTs a tiny bit.

Let me know if I can help.

if you really want to do it right the first time do the Stage 4 Sun Coast and the 1056 or 1057 TC and i hate to say this but don't go with the PPE lift pump(i had a PPE and now have the TTS)instead go with the TTS or Kennedy dual lift pump plus the Billet Pickup hose(the one that drops into the fuel tank),after thats done get rid of the stack and either run the PPE HOT ET+2(450HP at the crank)or EFILive, the reason i say don't stack is you run a higher risk ruining the internals of the engine that way..

X2 Atleast a suncoast III with a converter. A Transgo Jr. won't last with what you are planning on doing/using.

I also am a fan of TTS lift pumps. I've run many types in the last four years, including 2 edelbrock(PPE) lift pumps. I will not run one again. Very loud and usually leak, although I've heard PPE is replacing the "o" ring to stop leaks.

I have a customer with just a transgo and dyno'd 475hp. He drives with that tune and a bit lighter one, no limping(doesn't mean he's not hurting it though).

These 6 speeds hold more power and the transgo Jr. is a great add-on. If you have plans on upgrading the tranny in the future, put in the transgo and pour the power to it. If no plans, then put in the transgo and keep it around 420hp and under.

.
i agree the Edlebrocks aren't worth typing about and the PPE lift pump well it works great if you don't want more then 420RWHP and it never leaked for me but it did quit after about 5Months of over time labor..
now the TTS Dual pumps now thats a setup worth having and now that i have them i won't go with anything else..

Both. They offer the 95 and 150 series of pump/filters systems, and they have the HPFP (High Performance Fuel Pump) that is basically the pump off the FASS system. They work very well, and are not overly noisy. And, when purchased from an Authorized dealer, you get a 6 year warranty on the unit. Not a bad deal. . . . .
