Unfortunatly TTS only sells the kit with a transgo included. This is a good kit for your DIY'er. I believe this is a great kit that competes, power wise, with the more expensive options. I have tested in two trucks, one with 300-400 passes in the 1/4 mile, and now this truck. Others have tested at my power level also with great results.
Basically the TTS kit is:
Modded P2 Planetary spacer, Modded C3 apply piston(allows one more C3 clutch disc and steel)
One friction and steel for above
Pump shim (increases line pressure)
Converter lock-up valve
Transgo kit.
You'll need clutches where needed (usually C3 and C4), Converter, new filters, fluid and maybe a deep pan from Allison(50.00)
This is basically what I'm running in this new truck. Many dyno runs over 600HP and 100 or so 1/4 passes in the low 12's(11.8-12.1). I went into the tranny to check on clutches last month and everything looked really good, only a bit of discoloration on a couple of C3's
I do run a co-pilot which may help holding power, but only use it on the track and rarely on the street. I don't feel they are needed for non racing/pulling.
