Need a bigger wrench!! Mine were a biatch too. I just checked them last night with a 3/8" drive flex head ratchet and a 12mm standard socket. it was just right to get in there. But i don't know if it'd be able to take them off.

On a side note. Has anyone else noticed if the plate has made your truck a little noisier? Mine is a little louder. Sounds like it is bouncing off the plate and you can really hear it in the cab. Can definitely hear the vanes changing at idle. Even cruising down the highway and letting off it can be heard until I give a little throttle and then it goes away. Any ideas??

Try to get an air ratchet in there. It has worked for some...

Had the SES light come on about a day after installing. What about the finger stick? Any comments?

E.G.R Exhaust Gas Recirculator. Takes spent exhaust and recirculates it into the intake and thus the combustion chamber. Its a way to get lower emissions to stay state compliant. Also another way to get lower fuel millage. +0.2 mpg with block plate, every little bit counts

Finger sticks work real well they take about 1/2 hour to an hour to install depending. A guy here local to me is actually the "inventor" of the stick and makes them, for kennedy diesel. another option ia go with a different tuner with the egr delete function!

I tried to break the nuts free from the passenger side but ended up needing to lay on top of engine...I used a 1/4" drive rachet with a 12mm socket...Set the wrench in a position to where I could get some space and leverage...I then exerted a whole lot of energy into 12mm nuts (sounds like nothing but feels like alot) and got them to break free...Once they break free they spin off easy

Mine came loose fairly easy, the only problem I had was getting it spread apart far enough to get the plate all the way down. And I only barely cut one of my knuckles.
