All a finger stick does is keep the Cel(check engine light) from coming on when you block the egr off.

It gets tied in with the maf sensor wires and the EGR lead. The EGR lead on an LLY is blue and on an LBZ it is brown w/white stripe. The fingerstick is placed in the harness raceway that goes over the intake.

LLY, LBZ and I believe the plate only applies to the LMM.

The finger stick is a computer chip with 5 wires runing off of it. You run the fingerstick inline in your engine wiring harness under the hood. All that it does is confuses the computer to think the EGR is fine when you block it or gets the wrong signal.
