I have been doing a lot of reading and have narrowed my choice to an AFE but whitch one OEM, Intake, Oil, Dry-flow so many options?
First off you should know that I am looking not only for a life time filter but also the safest. I don't need the power gains just a long lasting safe filter that won't suck up the dust and cause all kinds of problems. Just for cost alone I would like a simple OEM drop in but do you go with Oil or Dry?
Anyone used any of these filters, any thoughts on the matter would be of great help. Thanks in advance.
Luvtowheel
Everyone on here will tell you to get a dry filter. But if you are wanting a long lasting good filter....then look at Volant....they have a new filter that is supposed to be amazing.

Another vote for S&B. They offer a 40% flow gain over the stock unit and a 99%+ efficiency rating on their filters. They are well constructed and fit very well. They are also quite a bit cheaper than AFE/Volant/Banks/AEm etc. Here is a link to the kit with more info.
I really have no preference when it comes to cold air intakes. They all offer about the same "advertised" flow and horsepower increases, only S&B was a little more creative with their "advertising" slogan.
+ 1 more for the S&B filter.. check out a thread i posted up yesterday: S&B Intake Anyone?

I agree with rolling smoke, pretty much all filters will give you the same result.....and the result is nothing you will notice except more whistle. And that website, thetruthaboutfilters, basically does the same thing every other filter company does....they say they are the best...blah blah blah. It's all a bunch of crap in my opinion. If I wouldn't of got such a cheap package deal, I wouldn't even have an aftermarket CAI....stock works great.
