Well, Banks makes a decent product, but not geared towards the guywho wants serious power. There are several things wrong with that test. The 6 Gun is a "Top Gain" of 140hp at the tires. The PPE Hot +2 is 425hp at the crank, so about 350hp at the tires. Yeah, that much power will require more mods to safely run, but with the mods it will blow most stuff away!
As for the stacking question, you can run it on the stock tune, or turn down the Edge a bit more and install the lowest tune on the tuner for a stack. Just use some common sense and don't crank everything up to "Kill" and you should be fine.

I am new to this diesel game and lovin it.I have an 06 4 door 2500, bone stock and ready to be modified! I do a little towing(30' gooseneck 2 jeeps) 1 or 2 times a month, looking for something that will smoke a buddies cummins and still give me good daily driver #'s. I have heard about BULLY DOG,EDGE, EFI LIVE,PPE. Not sure wich is the best bang for the buck. The local shop has no idea what to suggest,so what will I need for the mods? Any help will be appreciated

The best bang for the buck is diablo preditor. PPE is the best handheld, but is a little pricey and has more power than the stock ally can take. No matter what you get keep it under 90 hp and take it easy on the 4-5, and 5-6 shifts, that is when you are most likely to slip it. Get a good set of guages to monitor your boost and egts. also Get a good 4" exhaust to let it breath better and you will be ready to have some fun.

Depends on where you are going with the truck.
EFI Live; for entry level up to full blown 1000HP trucks. Takes a bit to understand tuning, but you'll get a free tune to get you started. Unlimited tuning, scanning, and logging possibilties(mpg, hp, and smoothness) $749.00 on average.
PPE; Biggest HP tunes from a handheld tuner. Plug in and go. Good mpg and drivabilty on the lower settings and big HP on the upper settings. $499-949.00 on average.
Predator; Good bang for the buck. A bit rough around the edges on timing rattle and shifting. $399.00 on average.
Edge: Big name, but not the best for the later year Dmax's.
Hypertech; Used to be a joke, but now has nice power and good mpg and towing with stock truck. $399.00 on average.
so with the EFI live I can start small and then use it as I build the truck, just a little scared when it comes to the programming, will I have to have a lap top in the truck? Or is there a display like the EDGE has? Thanks for the input, and AWSOME truck!!!
