Banks questions

I have a 06 6.6 LBZ Crew Cab 4x4 SB.I was looking to put the Banks power ram air and dual monster exhaust on it.Does this sound like a good idea or should I go with the tuner also? Any help would be appreciated.

Anytime you can make it breath better its a good idea. as for the tuner its what ever you want just remember that running anything 90hp over stock then you can start doing damage to the trans without a trans upgrade.

Thanks for the input DT, Always nice to hear from another operator. I have to find out about the HP gains if any from the add ons pre tuner.I normally run our Cat 12 & 14 H's for our Company in NJ.Right now I am on a 365 on a sanitary sewer project.Bring on grading season !!!!!!!!!

The gains from intake and exhaust will be very minimal. Your egts will come down though.

I was just wondering if one worked better than the other w/ a tuner.I want to make sure that when I go for the tuner that I have no surprises.
We are getting a 14M on demo in May.No wheel is going to take some getting used to.
Thanks again.

You wont see any performance differences between single or duals. The duals will have just a little deeper sound and just a little louder.

If it helps you, I had a MBRP 4inch pipe, and went to Banks Monster Duals and noticed NO difference in sound at all. BUT...I like the duals alot better and get more compliments on them. And Banks duals are expensive, but they were amazingly easy to put on over MBRP's single system. As for the Intake, don't waste your money on one.....it's not worth it seriously....you won't notice any gains, any EGT lowering, just a teeny tiny bit louder whistle. Save that money and put it towards a programmer. And as for surprises, if you aren't going to upgrade your tranny, then don't bother going over 90HP and gunning it all the time, or you'll have lot's of surprises!

I too have the viper w/ turbo timer. However, mine is set at 3 mins and would like to have it at 5.Any help on how to reset it would be great. As for the tuner, how much max hp did you gain and what upgrades to the tranny did you make?
