Before I had my duel's I had a muff delete and wasnt satisified with the sound so I deleted the kitty cat and got better sound. Real loud and annoying on the highway. Lots of drone. Try a local exhaust place they will do it for a 100 bucks and will be done in about an hour. Good Luck

am thinking about adding cat back duels and was wondering if the sound would be better than single mufler delete and if the cat could be rodded out and not throw a code or void the warranty?

You will not throw codes or void the warranty with a cat-back exhaust system.

The "better sound" is all a matter of opinion. You could go with the duals or single and if you wanted it louder you could get the muffler delete pipe. They will sound similar, but the duals will have the extra tail pipe coming out the drivers side giving the illusion of a louder system. You will not get more performance gain from duals, just looks.

So, is the verdict that by doing a muffler delete on my stock exhaust system and adding a 5 or 6 inch tip I won't really gain any sound, power, lower egt's, or better mpgs? And I would be wasting my money on doing it?

Thanks for all the replies.

Removing the muffler and leaving the cat you won't notice that much of a difference. You will see just a little lower egts, but the big difference is when the cat comes off.

Will it be worth the extra trouble to delete the cat and have to get a finger stick just for the sound? and can the muffler shop do the finger stick?

You may not throw codes. Most 06-07 trucks dont. A fingerstick is no problem to install, just splice a few wires. You can handle it yourself. If you didnt want to do that, you could get a PPE programmer to prevent the codes from being thrown.

Just delete the cat and go with the turbo back system. That is what i have and the dealer had no problem with me. I even left my blocker plate in, they are to lazy to check for it. got any more questions about if it will void it go here.Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
