boost gauge

Where is the best place to tap into for a boost gauge? Should I remove the pipe drill and tap? Or could I leave the pipe in place, drill and tap. Then use a small vacuum, or magnet to the debris out of the pipe so it will not damage the turbo? Thanks

I would remove the manifold and tap it, that way you don't risk throwing stuff into the engine. It's pretty easy to get off and makes it easier to work with. Try this link: DieselManor Gauge Install Pictures

I only run Autometer in my truck and in my race car. Just my personal preferance.

Autometer are really good and most of the guys on here are running them and like them. I have Isspro and they haven't given me any problems. I think the autometer gauges look a little better. The Isspro are a little more plain jane.

You already have a boost sensor. You don't have to tap anything. Then use an aeroforce scan gauge, plug and play.

The aeroforce scan gauge plugs into the OBD II port and takes the reading from the the truck ECM. It also reads a bunch of other parameters. I have mine set up to read rail pressure right now since I am running a standard boost gauge. Easy to install and problem free. Should work just fine with the Banks six-gun.
