I have read somewhere in this site about the tranny relearning its shifting? After a proggrammer is installed.

What are you meaning andd how is it done?

The ally. learns your driving habits and adjust its self to shift do to the way you drive. It will have to relearn the new power added to it.

The way that the transgo kit and bully dog says to do it is as follows:

Go though all shifts at 1/4 throttle until it shifts smoothly (around 3-4 times)
Then do 1/2 throttle until it shifts smoothly
3/4 throttle until smooth
Full throttle until smooth
Then repeat for tow haul mode.

Just drive. It will shift a little funny at first but after a few days it will be fine.

Yep.. If you want it to learn faster you can take it to a dealer and have the trans memory flashed so it will go into fast learning mode. or it will take 20 or 30 miles of stop and go and highway for it to learn.

when did the bully dog start doing that? Is that when it went to the triple dog downloader? I thought only a tech II and EFI live could do that since they were the only ones to be able to pull transmission codes. Interesting...I'm still not going back to bully dog though.....I am just waiting for EFI Live after my tranny build.
