Cat Delete...

Hey guys... I need some help. I am looking for a cat delete pipe for my truck... I cant seem to justify spending so much money for and exhaust up here in alaska. the shipping is killer. So if anyone knows where I can get a cat delete pipe or a shop here in alaska where I can get straight pipe put in that would be awesome... most places say "I cant touch the cat".... damn them...

Just go down to the local muffler shop and have them make you a piece of 3-1/2inch pipe with a coupling pressed in either end. Tell them your removing the muffler

the problem I am looking at with doing it my self is all the dang curves in the pipes before and after the cat... I dont have a welder....

If ya have access to a torch,cut a u shape in the side of it and just use a pry bar to peel it upwards,then break the inside out and discard it,then just heat it back up and fold it back in place,weld it back,and ya done,looks factory and noone knows any diff,cause the shell of it is still intact!!

not cutting torches or welders... and the pipes arent straight by any means... thats why im trying to find a mom and pop shop to get it done... a place where they dont care about cuttin the cat.

I was talkin bout not even removin,just cut a door in it and leave some material so ya bend it up like a flap,using this method does not even require removal of any pipes at all,curves won't be a prob either,but ya will need a torch to cut it open,and if ya don't have access to a welding machine,then you can braise it back together with regular coat hangers...Good luck!!

yeah I understand exactly what your saying... just no access to a torch and welder... but we will see what I can do.

That is truly the easist way,and ya can always rent one,and with basic skills and a little patience,you'll do fine and won't have to worry about being discovered cause the cat shell will still be there...

Yeah dude let us know how it goes if you get a chance to work on it,post back up,let us know how it went,I'm sure a few others will take note and try it too...
