ppe standard vs edge

I was origanally leaning towards edge for my 2006 lly for the benefit of the digital gauge and all,but ive been hearing about some issues with the shifting on the later models.what kind of issues might I have w/ the edge that I would not have w/ PPE standard which ive heard nothing but good about.Also heard that the shift on the fly is pointless because it takes 50 miles to relearn the new power.ready to order PPE , just figuered id ask first.Thanks this forum has been very informative.

Edge Evolution did give me some problems towing up a 6% grade with an 8k trailer.

It was bouncing up/down with the tranny, until I put in tow/haul mode. Running it on level 2 (Tow)....

This could be something they fixed with the new GM recall ECM flash and Edge having to update the code on the programmers.

Never checked my stock program to see if it would do the same not running the tow/haul on a big hill with the same trailer.
