PPE install

Just finished installing my PPE programmer WOW I just put it on level two, now I know what all the hype is about!! I should probly know this but are there any safegaurds with the base model from PPE??? Will the tranny go into limp mode with to much hot rodding? Thanks

Yes it will go into limp mode, but by then the clutches are already glazed. On level 2 you are pretty safe though, just watch the WOT 4-5, 5-6 shifts and the downshifts out of 6 and 5.

Thanks for the info, man what a diffrence that thing made I cant wait to see what my mileage does (if I can stay off the throttle)

Thats my problem. I didn't gain much mileage because i can't keep my foot off the floor.

Judging by your signature your truck must be an all out rocket ship on wheels cool!I cant imagine there are to many cars on the road that you cant destroy in a race...

on level 2 you are safe with the stock tranny but if you don't mind buy the Transgo JR Shift kit and you'll be good even with level 3-4 with the stock tranny then let the good times roll..
