Diablo upgrade?

If I bought a Diablo tuner do I have to update it with the updates offline before I can use it? Beginner question I know..

Are you buying it new or used. If it is new i would say your safe just to go ahead and put it on the truck.

buying new..just wasnt sure if any of the updates were critical? I thought maybe if it was new it would come updated but I could be wrong

If you are buying it from a Diablo Dealer they should be able to update it. I bought mine from a dealer and he downloaded the newest software for me before I took delivery.

Whats the 85hp tune rated at? What im asking is it safe to keep it on that if i didn't drive it too hard...all the time I know pushing more than 90 on a stock ally is something you gotta be careful about..

I like my predator. On the 85 setting I get about 2-3 mpg better than stock. On the 65 setting I get about 2. With a dash mounted G analyst my truck was .8 seconds quicker in the 1/4 mile on the +65 hp setting. Do the K/N drop in for $65 and the airbox mod too it's cheap power and mpg.
