A stock turbo, 4inch exhaust, lift pump, trans build and a big tune will put you in the low 13 high 12. I personaly am getting cheetah soon. But you will make those times with a stock turbo.

mid to low 13's is a stock turbo all day long, any lower than that i'd say A3k or higher. there are only a small handfull of people running in the 12's w/a stock charger.

it is very possible with the right tuning to run 12's but keeping your EGT's in check is another story..the Garret turbos are probably the most popular for the Duramax's..

you can run 11's with the bigger garret turbos but you will need lots of other goodies to do it.

I am wanting the cheetah, but i am going to have to upgrade to efi first in order to get the full benefit of it. The cheetah is still a VVT so the boost is controlled by the computer.

I have quite a few 12 second trucks running my EFI tuning and stock chargers. A couple in the 12.6's.

Cheetah will add about 80HP on a LBZ. Tested back to back with one of my tuning customer's trucks. Same tune, just added the cheetah. These turbos are loud, FYI.

These turbos are like a miny jet engine under the hood I've got a core sitting in the Kitchen waiting to make the 40 minute trip to become a Cheetah!!! Can't wait.
