Hey guys,any idea how power to put down with efi live.I mean,being that ya can tinker w/trans and all,the 100 hp rule still goes.Right??

TTS said they can build a trans tune to handle 500HP but I think they are full of shit. I would not trust it if I did not have the money to build a trans. With just a trans tune you can not build more line pressure which is what the trans needs to hold more power.

I have not started to build trans tunes yet but I can assure you you can not build more line pressure to hold more power without shimming the pump. You can change shift points and off that kinda shit. If you get EFI live you better start to save for a trans because you will want to run the big tunes it is so much fun.

Thank god someone finally understands this concept. Its been talked about alot but psyco66 is absolutely right. EFIlive can quicken the shifts (which feels like a shift kit) but does absolutely nothing for line pressure which is needed to hold the extra power.

Why do you want to keep the core. I bough a Suncoast stage IV and built the trans myseld. The kit was 3000. I think a Suncoast built trans to your door is like 5 or 6000.
