I was looking around under my new pickup while I was installing my B&W hitch and noticed no wires going into the cat. Does that mean if I delete it, it wont through any codes? I didn't pay any attention downstream if there was another sensor at the muffler. I had to go 400 miles to pick up my 5er toy hauler and was a little disappointed in the fuel mileage. I was very impressed in how easily it towed the trailer, lots of power, but got 6 mpg doing 73 mph. I was just happy it could pull the trailer that fast. Slowing down on the backroads at 55 mph I was getting 9 mpg. Thanks for your help.

You might get a low egr flow code if you delete it, but it is not a problem. It will not cause any performance problems and can easily be blocked with most tuners.

That is some really nasty MPG's there!! Definately go with a larger turbo back system and check out the intake. Either replace with a cold air intake or at least do the mods on the air box. Like Pysco said, a good tuner will also help and the one he has is a good one.
Thanks for all the responses. Is there a cold air intake system that doesn't use air filters that need the conditioners like a K&N filter? I used to have a K&N, but I was having to clean it way to often, because I live in a very dry dusty climate. My old truck I just tore the hole box out and shoved an air filter used in a piece of equipment with a 4" hole in the end of the hose that went to the turbo. Thanks again.

I suggest an AFE Pro Dry S intake kit or AEM. Both use dry filter elements that do not require re-oiling. Let me know if you are interested, I can put you together a package price with everything you need.
