power pup

how does the bully dog setup do on these trucks? I'm not looking to gain tons of power just a nice mild tune. a little more power and hopefully some MPG's. Has anyone had experience with the bully dog or maybe know someone who has. The only reason I am asking is because I have a buddy that is a dealer and can get me one at cost.

I had the power pup and didn't like it too much. I ended up getting a diablosport predator and like it a lot more. the predator (at least with my truck) cand read injector balance rates and a mess of other live data. The powerpup that I had could not do that on my engine. You can get a predator for about $370 brand new. For a little more you can get a PPE economy.

I am running the pup. Towing my 34' fifth wheel before the install felt like a chore. I could certainly tell the difference after. I have only been running it on 2(?) which is Tow/Econ mode. I only ran it about a month without the tune, and this is my first Diesel, but figuring by hand, I am up about 2 mpg and the smile factor is off scale high.

I bought a Bully Dog Tripple Dog with outlook about 14 months ago & I tell you its the best thing I've ever bought. I've had 4 trucks since then & it works in them all. Power is great, fuel mileage is 2-3 MPG easy. It doesn't do all the crazy crap the EFI live does, but I don't need that stuff - I drive to much. I wanted something to be able to smolder the tires every now & again, make the truck go like hell & be good on fuel. Check & check! I had the Edge in my last truck & did not like it.
