Has anyone on here converted to an electric fan from the clutch style? I almost did it on my 04 1500 gasser and then lost interest before trading for the dmax.

The best thing to do,is to leave the fan alone,no electric cooling fan will give what a clutch one will...If you ever hook onto a load, that will be the first thing you'll notice for sure. The stock one can't be beat for efficiency

Everything I have read, seen or heard says they are great when just driving around. You can pick up some mileage gain which we all need. However, the minute you start pulling they show their weakness. I would do what the others said and stick with the stocker.

Huh good question! I actually thought at first the electric fan would be better. But, now I think Ill just stick with my stock clutch style fan. I never looked but if your having problems over heating I wonder if it would be worth putting one on the front side of the radiator behind the grille and have it come on with a switch. The condensor is there but it still might help.
