I was supposed to pick up the truck this afternoon, but it won't be ready till the morning . I'll post some pics of both pics side by side, I can't wait drive a LBZ, THEN MOD IT!!!

A good friend of mine just found a 06 LBZ crew LT with only 18k miles & he told me it had 4.10 gears, he could be wrong but I thought he was reading it to me off the window sticker. I figured the 2nd overdrive was for a lower rear end gear. What do I know!

Good news is I picked up the new LBZ today - bad news its it broke down 5 minutes later! First went to pick it up and it was hard starting, would start, spuder then die. Finally started, the pedal seemed to really do nothing, held it to the floor & it didn't change the RPM's (I know the GAS GM's call this reduced engine power), but it didn't give me any sort of message. Finally starts & seem to idle. I get to work, it won't start again. Starts, dies - starts again & I let it idle. Go to leave, put it in drive & it says something like "shift indicator inhibited". Put it in Neutral, then back & drive & it goes out. Drive it down the road & im' stuck in either 2nd or 3rd gear - won't shift like its in limp mode or something (like it had a bad shift indicator? did one in my last truck). Shut the truck off, put it in park & now it shifts fine. Truck has a check engine light on "U0101" that comes back to lost communication with the TCM.

Other than that, whoa boy does that turbo sing!

HELP! I like the truck but this sucks

ouch that realy sucks..not sure what to tell you on the shift inhibited thing, mine just did it this morning which realy ticked me off..
have the dealer check the fuel filter and make sure that you don't have any fuel eaks because if the truck sense fuel pressure loss it will kill the engine or not allow it to rev up.

I'm gonna put a fuel filter in today after work & see what happens. Reset the CEL & at least start there.

GOOD NEWS!!!!!! I bought the truck needing tires, no big deal. So I sent the truck out this morning & had 4 new Michelin MTX 265's on it & an alignment - was going to do the fuel filter when it got back. I picked the truck up from the tire shop & the check engine light was off, weird. Started perfect & ran perfect. Even weirder! Drove it back to the shop - drove like a Cadillac, those Michelin tires are night & day. Since the truck had a problem, I put about 60-70 miles on the truck & it must have re-set itself somehow?

I drove the truck 35 miles home and it was like a brand new truck. I don't know why that "U0101" code was coming up, I don't know why the truck had a hard start. I bought the truck from GMAC, it was a lease turn in. Maybe the truck sat for some time? Oh well, TRUCK RUNS LIKE NEW! DRIVES LIKE NEW.

Can't wait to mod it! Thank you for all the replies & suggestions - I can't even take credit for doing something to fix it. I drove the truck to work & back and for what ever reason it worked the bugs out. I' got a new fuel filter & will install it in the morning when I do the oil change so I know it was done.

I thought my LLY was quiet - holy cow is the LBZ silent!!!!!!!
