| Banks Ram Air CAI - anyone using it? Looks mean! Friend of mine just bought & installed the banks ram air CAI on his 06 LBZ & it sure looks mean!!!
My last LLY had a VOLANT CAI & I was very happy with it and was going to buy another for this truck, until I saw how the Banks looked! I thought it was killer.
Anyone running these, pro's, cons?
Is there any "1" CAI that the LBZ is more responsive too?

| I like the idea of the Banks CAI coupled with the super scoop. Then you have fresh cold air coming in the intake track. |

| If I were you....I'd keep your stock intake....it's just as good as any other. But if you are going to buy an aftermarket anyways.....I would go with Banks and the super scoop. I feel all aftermarket CAI's are pretty much the same....so why not buy one with a scoop??

| Just gota be careful playin in the water with that scoop!! I think there's some holes in the back of it or something that's supposed to help, but if you like to drive through creeks and deep water like I do, it could possibly be a probelm. JMO. |

| gr8shot is all over it with the water issue. if you have the ram air and the superscoop together you will be okay. when you know you are going to play in the water, there is a piece that you can remove form the ram air box so that it wil be back to normal ram air config otherwise if you stick that rig in the water you are going to suck it up like a straw. There is a one inch slot in the back of the scoop that will allow water and debris to go right out of it under normal rain and driving conditions. Also, if you have bigger than 265 size tires, you will have to modifiy the scoop a little. took about a half hour to form it so that my tires didnt rub. there are plenty of ways to do it, i used a heat gun and just took my time.
