seriously?? 2 thermostats??

i went to buy a thermostat for my truck, and was told they dont keep them in stock!!!! there has to be a 1000 of these trucks in my little neck of the woods...so i said get me one, and was told there are two...really?? where does the other one go?

2006 1 ton 4X4 w/t..but i do have a ranchhand front bumper and hummer wheels!!

There are 2. They are both in the same spot under the upper radiator hose. One opens at 160 and one at 180.

why exactly do they use a double thermostat system? I heard this before but never really figured out what the deal is.
